A thirty nine year old man has been charged after an incident near the Norfolk home of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Alex Jenkinson, from Stowmarket in Suffolk, faces two charges of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to harass someone or cause alarm or distress. He is also charged with failing to provide a specimen of blood in custody after his arrest in Wolferton.

Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham has withdrawn from a speech he had been due to give tomorrow morning.

Burnham is viewed as a possible challenger to Sir Keir Starmer and is known to be considering a return to Westminster. He had been scheduled to speak at a Festival of Childhood event in Manchester, but organisers say he has been replaced by a member of staff.

Millions of people across England, Scotland and Wales are voting in the biggest set of polls since the 2024 general election.

Voters in Scotland and Wales are choosing who should run their national parliaments, while dozens of council and mayoral seats are being contested in England. There are no elections in Slough or Windsor and Maidenhead. Polling stations are open from seven in the morning until ten tonight, with results expected on Friday and throughout the weekend.
