Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed the suspect, a white British national, is in custody and Widdecombe's family have been informed. A twenty-six-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Ann Widdecombe. Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed the suspect, a white British national, was detained on Friday afternoon at an address in Newton Abbot.
