Donald Trump spoke to reporters at his White House Easter event, addressing ceasefire proposals reported today.

He described them as “not good enough but a very significant step forward.” Asked about his approach to the conflict, Trump said if it were up to him he would continue the war to take Iran’s oil, adding: “If it were up to me I’d take the oil, I’d keep the oil, we’d make plenty of money.” He also said the American people want the war to end and that he wants to make them “happy.”

Riot police made multiple arrests after clashing with partygoers at an illegal rave over the weekend.

The unauthorised music event near East Lulworth, Dorset, drew around 2,000 attendees and took officers almost 24 hours to shut down. Dorset Police said they came under missile fire and faced a “violent and hostile reception.” Ten people were arrested for offences including driving while under the influence and assaulting an emergency worker.

A body has been found in woods during the search for a man missing for five months.

John Miller, aged 48, was last seen on 10 November 2025 and was reported missing from the Cumbernauld area. Police Scotland said it received a report of a body in woods near Hillcrest Terrace in the North Lanarkshire town at about 4.25pm on Sunday. [Pause(1)]

Iran and the United States have received a two tier plan to end the war, according to a source.

It proposes a ceasefire followed by a final agreement. The source said all elements must be agreed today, with an initial memorandum finalised electronically through Pakistan. The developments come after Donald Trump threatened to target infrastructure if the Strait of Hormuz was not reopened.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has called an emergency meeting of the National Defence Council after explosives were found near a pipeline carrying Russian gas to Hungary.
