Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have reached a settlement over civil claims brought by the actress following their work together on It Ends With Us.

Lively had accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and of co ordinating a smear campaign against her in a lawsuit filed after the release of the 2024 film, which he also directed. A judge had previously dismissed most claims, including harassment, but allowed others to proceed including breach of contract and retaliation. The details of the settlement have not been made public.

Two people have died after a car drove into pedestrians in the German city of Leipzig.

Police say two others were severely injured in the incident on Grimmaische Strasse, a route leading into the city’s main shopping area. The vehicle and its driver have been stopped and are no longer considered a threat. Leipzig is one of the largest cities in eastern Germany, with a population of more than six hundred and thirty thousand people.

Donald Trump says there has been no damage in the Strait of Hormuz and that US forces have shot down seven small boats.

A spokesperson said the idea was disgusting and accused Reform of making abhorrent announcements. The party had previously said it would build centres in remote areas only.

South Korea is verifying the cause of a fire on a South Korean flagged vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.

There are twenty four crew members on board, according to the foreign ministry. A spokesperson for shipper HMM said a fire broke out in the engine room of one of its bulk carriers. There are no reports of casualties or injuries.

Iran says it has stopped a United States warship from entering the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the Fars news agency, two missiles hit the vessel near Jask after it ignored warnings. US Central Command says no American Navy ships have been struck and confirmed forces are supporting Project Freedom while enforcing a naval blockade on Iranian ports.
