The MP for Shoreham, Tom Rutland, has offered his condolences after three members of the same family died when getting into trouble in the water off the West Sussex coast. Russia has issued formal threats against the UK following reports that Ukraine is using British drones to strike targets deep inside Russian territory. Five male teenagers have died and four other people have been seriously injured in a crash on a motorway in County Kildare, Irish police have said. Eleven major fires in the last 48 hours and 43 new wildfires since Friday have left services under incredible pressure, a fire chief has said. Jason Arday, the former University of Cambridge professor who resigned following accusations of plagiarism, has been found dead. He was found unresponsive at an address in Battersea on Friday afternoon. The 41-year-old resigned as professor of sociology of education last week following reports alleging he plagiarised his PhD thesis at Liverpool John Moores University.
