The new Slough Jets season starts on Sunday 1st with a fortnight of pre-season action before the start of the National Ice Hockey League, South Division from Saturday 21st September.
Ice Hockey is the world’s fastest and most exciting indoor spectator sport, dating back to 1875 in Canada. The Slough Jets were founded by Gary Stefan in 1986 and have competed in Slough ever since. The Jets compete in the National Ice Hockey League British Division with home games most weekends between September and April annually.
The Slough Jets have played at Slough Ice Arena on Montem Lane since 1986, except for the 16/17 and 17/18 seasons when they played in a temporary facility located in the Ice Arena Car Park while Slough Ice Arena underwent major redevelopment work.
The Jets play a number of games across the season on Saturdays and Sundays and we’re giving you the chance to win a pair of tickets to be at the first pre-season game of the season on Sunday 1st September.
The competition launches at 8am on Tuesday 27th September so listen in to Mark Denholm at Breakfast to find out how you can win a pair of tickets. The competition runs all week until 3pm on Friday and the winner will be announced in Ben Shoveller’s Drivetime on Friday afternoon.
