Six people have died after a passenger ferry carrying two hundred and seventy people capsized off northern Cyprus.

Local media reports say the boat had departed from Kyrenia and was heading to the Turkish port of Tasucu when it capsized roughly two kilometres north of the Kyrenia coast earlier today. Northern Cyprus prime minister Unal Ustel confirmed the six fatalities.

A thirty-one-year-old British woman has died after being stabbed at a train station in Germany.

Police officers were called to Rosenheim railway station early on Sunday following reports of a knife attack. The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries but later died. A twenty-seven-year-old German man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of carrying out the attack.
