A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a young man who was stabbed at a council headquarters near Wembley Stadium.

Emergency services were called to Brent Civic Centre in north London at around twenty-five past two on Tuesday afternoon. Paramedics treated the victim, believed to be a teenager or in his early twenties, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The building has been evacuated and remains closed, with police making no arrests so far.

Residents were evacuated from flats in Maidenhead after a fire spread into the roof space of a High Street building.
