A three-year-old boy seriously injured in a crocodile enclosure at a Cambridgeshire zoo has undergone five surgeries and faces lengthy rehabilitation.

His parents stated they have been living at the hospital since the attack at Johnsons of Old Hurst on the eighteenth of June. A fundraising page has now raised over twenty-five thousand pounds to support his recovery and provide financial help.


Parts of the United Kingdom are set to heat up from this weekend, with forecasters warning that temperatures could exceed 30 degrees Celsius.

For some areas this will mark the third heatwave of the year. Highs could reach33 degrees for southern and south-eastern England, with 30 possible as far north as South Yorkshire, while it will remain cooler in the west. Although this latest hot spell is not expected to be as intense as the record-breaking heatwave in late June, it looks set to last significantly longer, potentially continuing right into the middle of the month.

England’s World Cup last-sixteen tie against Mexico will kick off as scheduled at one o’clock on Monday morning, following a FIFA U-turn on a plan to bring the game forward.

FIFA held talks with the English and Mexican football associations on Friday after proposing the match be moved to seven o’clock British time. Weather forecasts suggest there could be thunderstorms at that time, though FIFA has not provided an official explanation for its suggested change. Sources said that Fifa had been set to reschedule the fixture and confirm it in a statement, but news of the proposal angered both English and Mexican officials.

American popstar Taylor Swift and NFL tight end Travis Kelce have married, a spokesperson has confirmed.

The couple did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen for the ceremony. Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor, while Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by actor and friend Adam Sandler.
