After two weekends on the road, the Slough Jets are back at Slough Ice Arena this Saturday as they take on the Romford Buccaneers. Doors open at 5.45pm and the puck drops at 6.30pm.
Ice hockey is known as the world’s fastest and most thrilling indoor sport, with roots dating back to 1875 in Canada. The Slough Jets were founded in 1986 by Gary Stefan and have proudly represented the town ever since. Today, the team competes in the National Ice Hockey League British Division, with home games played at Slough Ice Arena on Montem Lane most weekends between September and April. The Jets temporarily relocated during the Ice Arena’s redevelopment in 2016/17 and 2017/18 but have since returned to their true home.
We’ve also got a pair of tickets to give away for Saturday’s clash. Phil launches the competition at 10am, with entries open until 3pm on Friday. The winner will be revealed live on Friday’s Drivetime with Ben.
