Zelenskyy has met Trump several times this year, most recently at the White House in October, as the US continues to lead diplomatic efforts to end the conflict. Tomorrow, they will meet in Florida to discuss territory, security guarantees, and the future of the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, Zelenskyy has said.
A twenty-two-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenager was stabbed to death in north London.
Metropolitan Police confirmed Abdel Dedour was detained on Boxing Day following a two-week manhunt after the fatal stabbing of fifteen-year-old Adam Henry. The incident occurred in Islington around 1pm on 9 December. Paramedics and officers attended and the boy was taken to hospital, where he died from his injuries. Investigations into the circumstances of the attack are ongoing.

Police are searching for a man who escaped from prison on Christmas Day.
Mahad Elmi, aged twenty seven, is on the run after absconding from HMP Spring Hill in Buckinghamshire, according to Thames Valley Police. The escape happened overnight from Thursday into Boxing Day at the open prison near Grendon Underwood. Spring Hill holds more than three hundred inmates and is a Category D jail with minimal security, allowing eligible prisoners to spend time away on licence for work, education or resettlement.

NHS bosses have apologised after the wrong body was cremated following a mix up at a hospital mortuary in Glasgow.

Thailand and Cambodia have agreed a ceasefire to end weeks of armed fighting along their shared border over disputed territory.
The agreement took effect at noon local time. It calls for an end to hostilities, no further military movements by either side, and no violations of airspace for military purposes. During the clashes only Thailand carried out airstrikes, hitting targets in Cambodia as recently as Saturday morning, according to the Cambodian defence ministry.
