The government has announced plans to scrap extra charges for airline passengers, including fees for parents sitting next to their children and unnecessary administration costs.

Under measures unveiled on Friday, airlines will be required to seat children under fourteen with their parents free of charge. Ministers also confirmed they are working alongside airline companies and trade unions to address passenger behaviour on flights.
