Tonight the 2021 Brit Awards will take place and they become the first major trial of indoor entertainment as they’re being held at London’s O2 arena with a 4,000 person live audience without social distancing or face masks.

The show is part of the government’s pilot scheme for reopening live events.

Musical performances include Coldplay opening the show from the River Thames plus Dua Lipa, Arlo Parks, Headie one and Rag’n’Bone man all performing inside the venue.

US star Olivia Rodrigo, who will also perform, has spent the last week quarantining after flying into the UK specifically for the awards.

The show will be hosted by Jack Whitehall and broadcast live on ITV from 8pm, plus on the Brits official YouTube channel globally.
